He's turned into somewhat of a jack of all trades at the club, and after holding down the secretary and representative director role in 2021, Begnell made the decision to defer all committee roles next summer and focus solely on coaching.
The 39-year-old reflected on an incredible behind-the-scenes knock at the club, a stint that was capped off with a New South Wales Touch volunteer of the year award.
"It's great to receive positive feedback as it shows the things you're doing at the club are working," he said.
"When I was first involved in touch football, I had some wonderful coaches help me develop my game, so I'm just trying to give our junior players the same development opportunities that I had."
While Begnell's presence on the committee will certainly be missed, he's supremely confident in the ability and dedication of the board moving forward.
"There's a wonderful, hard-working committee that's committed to continue the club's growth and provide club members with positive experiences," he said.
"It doesn't matter if you're playing social touch with your family and friends, or wanting to play rep touch and achieve higher honours, the club has pathways in place for anyone to come and enjoy touch football and develop in a fun, inclusive environment."
The club recently announced its newly elected club committee that includes Cathy Goodlock as president, Michelle Prestwidge as vice president, and Amy-Lee Daring as secretary.
