On the back of cracking efforts from Cam Jones' under-18s and Dan Mortimer's premier league unit, CYMS accrued the most points throughout all grades this winter, claiming the whole-club accolade for the first time since 2016.
The rapid spread of COVID-19 throughout New South Wales has Group 10 power brokers unsure when and if the competition will finish, making the award a little extra special.
"This is a pretty proud achievement for the club," Maley said.
"The fact that it's happened across a wider spectrum means it's a combination of a lot of people doing various roles."

Bookending the success are the two aforementioned squads, and Maley was quick to praise both teams on excellent seasons.
"The first grade side did a great job to come back from a down year in 2019," he said.
"And, we always like to think our under-18s boys are somewhere around the top."
But, it wasn't just these two squads that did well. The first division outfit, guided by Anthony Redfern, put a sloppy start behind it, finishing with a flurry of wins. Both league tag sides finished the season inside finals contention as well.
All Group 10 stakeholders have had their chance to speak on the worsening COVID-19 situation, and Maley weighed in on matters.
"It doesn't look good for the competition," he said.
"There's a few contingency plans in place, and they've said they'll stretch the season to mid-October if they need to.
"We understand the circumstances we're in, and this is a nice accolade for us to get."
Maley made sure to remind himself that the last time the club won this award, none of the age groups went on the win premiership. So, he hopes it isn't a bad omen.
