Fire & Rescue NSW-Orange Fire Station attended a detached shed that was on fire at a premises in North Street.
Station officer Matthew Jeffery said: "Two trucks were responded from Orange fire station. The call was received at the station at 7.14pm and the 1st truck was on scene at 7.19pm
"Upon arrival crews discovered a backyard shed that was detached from the residential premises was well alight and flames were about to impact a neighbouring shed.
"The quick response as well as a purposeful fire attack prevented the fire from spreading to the neighbouring property."
NSW Police and NSW Ambulance also attended along with a specialist FRNSW van from Bathurst that supplied cylinders for breathing apparatus. The fire is not considered suspicious.
Mr Jeffrey added: "There were two people in the detached house who were home at the time and they were alerted to the fire by neighbours.
"They were able to remove themselves without any harm and did not require the ambulance."
The fire crews had left the scene by 9pm.
