A 20-year-old has been taken to hospital after being punched in the face during an alleged carjacking at Lucknow on Thursday night.

At about 6pm on August 5, a man stopped his Toyota HiAce van on the side of the Mitchell Highway in Lucknow, to inspect goods to purchase, when an unknown male fled the scene in the van following a short altercation.
Police have been told the 20-year-old man attempted to stop the unknown carjacker before being punched, causing him to fall to the ground.
The HiAce driver sustained minor injuries due to the punch, and was taken to Bathurst Hospital for treatment.
Officers attached to Central West Police District were notified of the incident and have commenced an investigation.
The vehicle was located a short time later on Spring Hill Road in Millthorpe and was seized for forensic examination.
The Central West PD says it would like to speak to a man described as being in his 30s, of medium build wearing a black hooded jumper and cap.
As inquiries continue, police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or has dashcam footage to come forward.
