On Tuesday evening it was confirmed that a COVID-positive man had unknowingly visited five shops while infectious.
These were EG Fuelco Australia, 1 Hanrahan Place on July 17, 5.45pm-6pm; Officeworks Orange, 179/181 Byng Street on July 17, 4.35pm-5.05pm; Woolworths, North Orange Shopping Centre, 9 Telopea Way on July 16, 3pm-3.30pm and July 17, 1.20pm-1.50pm; Pizza Hut, 33 Bathurst Road on July 17, 4.55pm-5.05pm and finally CTC Orange, North Orange Shopping Centre, Shop 8, 9 Telopea Way on July 17, 1.50pm-2pm.
As shown, two of those venues were at the North Orange Shopping Centre.
The building's property manager, Julie Regan, issued a statement on Wednesday regarding the incidents.
"Centre management confirms that a pandemic clean of the common area of North Orange Shopping Centre was conducted overnight in addition to both close contact stores.
"The centre has re-opened and businesses will trade, if permitted under the NSW Government restrictions during the 7 day lockdown of the Local Government Area.
"The health and safety of our tenants, customers, team members and the local community is our number one priority and would like to use this time to remind customers to wear a mask, check in using the QR Codes and to practice physical distancing whilst maintaining hand hygiene when visiting North Orange Shopping Centre."
NSW Health advised those in Blayney, Cabonne and Orange must stay at home unless for an essential reason.
One of those reasons was shopping for food or other essential goods and services.
Asked what shops at the North Orange Shopping Centre would be open during the lockdown day period, Ms Regan said: "I don't have a confirmed list of stores that will trade, however, all are permitted to trade except Neo Nails.
"Food operators are open take away only."
