The regional tour of the Sydney Film Festival (SFF) will being a curated line-up of SFF titles to the city for the first time.
From Friday, July 23 to Sunday, July 25, the TFF program will include acclaimed feature flicks and documentaries from this year's major film festivals; most notably the Oscars, Cannes and Sundance.
Headlining TFF is the Australian drama, Disclosure. Set in Victoria's Dandenong Ranges (the ancestral home of the Wurundjeri people), the film was inspired by real-life events and explores the paths parents will take to protect their own.
Other films which will feature include: Rosa's Wedding about a forty-something woman who makes a shocking announcement that no one can believe; the poignant Italian story The Truffle Hunters about a group of men and their dogs hunting for the world's most expensive ingredient; New Zealand film, Cousins - following the lives of three cousins over six decades who were separated by unfortunate events, and audience favourite - Lunana: a Yak in the Classroom - which was shot in the Himalayas.
Additional festival highlights include: Oscar winner Another Round, starring Mads Mikkelsen (The Hunt, Hannibal) in a tragicomedy that combines science and midlife defiance, and Falling, Viggo Mortensen's (Green Book, The Lord of The Rings Trilogy) directorial debut drama.
As per the current COVID restrictions for regional NSW, masks will need to be worn inside the venue and cinema goers must all sign-in with the QR code on arrival.
Tickets are on sale now through the SFF website as well as Orange's Odeon 5 Cinemas.
