Rain gauges across the city were filling up regularly, with the official reading at the Bureau of Meteorology's base at the Orange Airport recording 141mm.
It's the second highest rainfall total for June in Orange since 2000, with 219mm in 2016 still the highest.
The highest prior to that amount was 162mm in 1998.
It's just the sixth time since then, too, that the city has had more than the 100mm mark, with totals in 2004, 2005, 2013, 2014 and 2016 surpassing triple figures.
That wet June has led to a soggy start to July, as well, with over 20mm recorded across the first two days of the new month.
In the 24 hours leading up to 9am on July 2, 16.4mm was recorded at the airport.
There's a fair chance of more rain on Saturday, with the BoM predicting a 70 per cent shot of around 1mm before a run of cold but mostly sunny days next week.
Orange's combined water storage levels sit at about 85 per cent.
