She last went out to the area on Dry Creek Road in Lewis Ponds on June 14. There she noticed that chips of sandstone was laying on the ground and one fence surrounding a grave was in "poor" condition.
"I wish to draw the public's attention to the disgraceful condition of this cemetery," she said.
"It was the first one when gold was found at Lewis Ponds.
"There would be many people buried in this cemetery. Their relatives would likely still live in the area and are unaware that this cemetery has been flattened by someone or something.
"I personally have at least four distant relatives in this cemetery. I'm not sure where other relatives of these people are so I won't name the people buried there that I know as it may upset someone."
She says when she went out there, it appeared as though someone had moved the tombstone out of their way and placed it in bots near a tree.
"My husband and I have contacted Cabonne Council regarding this matter by phone," Mrs Gregory added.
"My husband was told on one occasion there is no cemetery there. The next time someone from Cabonne Council was going to call and pick up information and photos but nothing happened.
"I phoned after this and complained the gates are locked and we are unable to go and look around. Within two weeks of this, we drove out there and the gates were unlocked. This enabled us to walk down and check and take photos of the destruction. We hope someone can do something about this destruction of an historic cemetery."
Among other things, she said there need to be a proper fence around the cemetery.
"The only remains of the enclosed fence and gates is broken and split fence posts all over the ground and a couple of rolls of wire. A couple of corner posts still stand," she said.
"We need the graves to be found and marked with a cross. The cross should have their name and other details.
"We need a sign on the gate informing people that this is the first cemetery in the area, the Dry Creek Cemetery."
Cabonne Council has not responded to a request for comment.
