Officers had been patrolling the area between 1.20am and 2.30am on May 8 when they saw Melinda Jane Powell, 35, of east Orange, accelerate towards the intersection then turn onto Dalton Street.
After being pulled over and asked if she had consumed any alcohol, Powell reportedly told police: "Yes, last night but I just woke up and was driving home".
Powell was then subjected to a breath test which gave a mid-range reading of 0.103.
On Monday in Orange Local Court, Powell pleaded guilty to driving with a mid-range blood alcohol concentration.
Her lawyer Nico Rump told the court she was was remorseful for her actions.
"She knows she shouldn't have been driving. She made a mistake. She knows she'll pay the price for it," Mr Rump said.
Magistrate David Day described Powell's analysis from the night of her offending as "significant", adding that she "would've felt affected" by the amount of alcohol she had consumed while behind the wheel.
Powell was convicted for mid-range drink-driving and disqualified for two months.
A mandatory interlocker order was also imposed for the 12 months thereafter - meaning any vehicle she drives during this time-frame will need to be fitted with an interlock.
Interlocks are electronic breath-testing devices which are linked to the ignition system of cars.
