Fire and Rescue NSW crews responded to the two incidents at around 4am on Tuesday morning with both vehicle fires occurring in east Orange, one at Glenroi Oval and the other reportedly off Adina Crescent.
Both of Tuesday morning's vehicle fires were extinguished quite quickly, within an hour, one of which was a hybrid car and the other a utility vehicle.
The hybrid car in particular posed a slightly different challenge for firefighters due to the batteries installed in the partly-electric vehicles, which require additional monitoring to ensure they didn't ignite after the fire was extinguished.
Neither vehicle was believed to be completely destroyed however they did both sustain significant damage, particularly internally, where it appeared both fires initially ignited.
