Kev Grimshaw's men have kicked off the 2021 Woodbridge Cup in near-flawless fashion, dismantling their first four opponents, with their most recent triumph coming in devastating fashion against the Cargo Heelers.
The Tigers took out the blue and blacks 56-16 at Tom Clyburn Oval in front of a mammoth crowd for the club's centenary day.
"It's extremely special," captain Ronald Lawrence said.
"Obviously there's a lot of history with the club, and I'm one of the younger ones."
"We had a bumper crowd last week against Molong but it wasn't quite as big as this.
"It's just good to see the support from the whole community. There were even people from other towns coming to watch."
The Tigers have a well-rounded side, but Lawrence felt as though most of the damage was done up the guts as the forward pack imposed its will from the get-go.
"We scored some good tries around the middle, there," Lawrence said.
"When we got it out to our backs, they just did our thing. We've got some good centres out there and they're too big and too strong."
A unique narrative in the lead-up to the clash was the one-game signing of former NRL player Mitchell Sargent.
While he didn't play big minutes on Saturday, Lawrence loved playing alongside him.
"He did a training session with us this morning and he didn't say all that much to start with," he said.
"But, he gave us some words of wisdom at half-time."
Cargo captain-coach Phil Ingram praised his players after full-time, but admitted they lost to the better side.
"It was a hard game. This is my first rivalry with Cargo and Canowindra. It was a very tough game," Ingram said.
"They're a pretty fit side and we were down on troops a little bit. I can't knock the effort of our boys.
"They were just full of running. We were a bit ill-disciplined at times and we let the game slip away from us. We've just got to learn to stay in the grind."
The Heelers started their season with two wins in-a-row, but have since slumped back down the ladder after a trio of losses.
"We're going to try to get into the top five and compete for the semis," he said.
"That's the goal for any coach and any team. We've just got to get back together and we've got a bye next week, hopefully we can get back on the winner's list."
