Fresh from the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Ms Douglas is a NSW Rural Ambassador, Champion of the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW and former director of Ag Shows Australia.
She also has over a decade of experience as a ring announcer at shows and was the first female announcer at the Ekka, in addition to five Royal Shows under her belt.
There's no hiding Ms Douglas' dedication to the show movement, with the young ambassador describing her announcing job as "the best gig going".
Some of the perks include having "the best seat in the house" and an arena for an "office", she says.
"[There's] no shortage of local characters to interview and your day is interspersed with grand parades, show jumping, barrel racing, pipe bands, fireworks and plenty of fanfare."
Orange Show Society publicity officer Brendon Argyle said the committee was "terribly excited to have secured such a popular and professional Ring Announcer" for the 149th show.
"It makes such a big impact to have someone that can bring the crowd in and connect them to the action," he said.

"With so much happening all the time at a show, having someone like Lyndsay [Douglas] with her experience and knowledge to be able to hold people's attention and connect the crowd to the action is invaluable."
Orange Show Society treasurer Matt Lamrock added extensive community consultation by the committee had "overwhelmingly" determined show-goers were after more value for money.
"Listening to this feedback has seen us source a range of free attractions and entertainment. Council's funding has given this a big boost," he said.
"Part of our new direction is to give back to the community, so we decided to utilise part of the money from Council to support local businesses while enticing people to come to the show."
Some of that free entertainment includes Big Al the Rodeo Clown and stilt walkers, plus a number of lucky door prizes.
The Orange Show is on this Saturday and Sunday, May 8 and 9, at the Showgrounds.
