Wanderers were admittedly struggling for numbers coming into the season as long-time player Alex Said was concerned about the state of men's hockey at Orange.
Nonetheless, Lithgow took care of business in scintillating fashion.
In the other match, St Pat's opened its account with a 3-1 win over Parkes.
Lachie Howard, Tyler Willott, Jaden Ekert were the goal scorers for the blue and whites.
Parkes' Andrew Burke netted the sole point for the losing side.
