Not only has there been huge interest expressed from prospective teams, but the easing of restrictions is set to bring a more normal netball experience to PCYC, with venue numbers forecasted to be capped around 2000.

And while these limitations are changing day-to-day, ONA president Jane Dennis says the return of crowds will be a welcomed addition in 2021.

"We still have to maintain a one person every two square metre rule but this year people will be free to come and go and move around in the venue," she said.

"The public health orders have been relaxed so we can run things a lot closer to normal.

"We'll continue to be conscious about hygiene and operate within what Netball NSW directs us to do."

While Dennis wasn't able to confirm the exact number of teams competing in the top-tier division this winter, she said there's plenty of eager clubs across the board.

"We're expecting a full-strength division one with loads of interest in the lower grades," she said.

It's no surprise that Dennis is expecting an explosive division one season, especially when you take a look at how last year's campaign panned out.

You can also expect Lana McCarthy's Hawks Royal to naturally improve under new leadership, as well as a very competitive Life Studio.

The junior ranks from under 8s to 15s are also set to be at capacity, proving that last year's events didn't deter many. "Even after COVID, we've got so many people interested," she said.

PCYC will host the final round of the West Central West Regional League on Sunday.
