Claire Capper and her siblings inherited the property nearly two years ago after the death of their father Graham Smith.
Mr Smith had long dreamed of the site being redeveloped, and a $4 million DA that would see new buildings, a bar and accommodation is before Orange City Council.
Mr Smith's children had wanted to get the DA approved before selling the property, however Mrs Capper said it's time to move on.
"We were hoping to see the DA through - it was a big thing of Dad's ... it's just dragged on too long.
"We thought it was going to be done within six months, so that's the only reason we held onto it for this long, because more things seemed to keep happening that needed to be done [to meet DA requirements]; we realised it was not the project for us to continue, we needed to close the estate."
Mrs Capper said the reason they had waited for DA approval was in the hope it would encourage a new owner to "keep it as a local hub for small businesses".
"I'd love to see that vision go through," she said.
Beau Baddock from the Agrestic Grocer was hopeful of staying on if the site sells.
"Ideally that would be good, but it's going to come down to who purchases it in the end," he said.
"We'll keep doing what we're doing and time will tell."
Asked if he'd thought of making an offer he said: "No, I'm quite happily married, I love my wife, and I'd like to stay married".
