Heading into the final round of the season, the finals spots had already been secured, with Orange City, Cavaliers and Centrals Red set to finish first, second and third respectively.
But that didn't matter to Nic Drage whose Cavs side squeaked out a one wicket win over Kinross.
"Those young guys have done really well and they've got some fantastic players that are going to be very, very good when they get a bit older," Drage said.
"It was a good close game, but glad we could finish the regular season on a high."
Joel Thomas was the destroyer with the ball, taking 6-20 to leave Kinross all out for 89.
He was then the hero with the bat, smashing two sixes for a crucial 13 not out which powered his side over the line.
They will now take on Centrals Red in the lone semi-final this week.
"A close game gets us ready for the finals which I'm expecting to be very close this Saturday," Drage said.
"Centrals Red are a team we've had some fantastic games against this year. Those guys have some absolutely fantastic players. (Adam Shepherd and Nick Dunlop) in the middle order and then their bowlers as well can really do some damage."
The final game of the regular season was a lot more comfortable for Centrals Red, who ran out seven-wicket winners against CYMS.
Batting first, CYMS were rolled for 71, with opener Nick Murphey (29) the only player to reach double figures.
The wickets were shared around for Red, as Aaron Chaseling finished with figures of 4-8, while Anthony Salmon and Matthew Ripps bagged two each.
Red chased down the target with ease, with Jacob Kopp (32) top scoring.
The final match was between City and Centrals Black, with the minor premiers taking the four-wicket win. Black batted first and were all out for 83, as City bowlers Tynan Southcombe and Glen Robinson each grabbed four.
In City's chase, it was opener Adam Cowden (35 off 39) who got them off to a blistering start to help secure the win.
The semi-final between Centrals Red and Cavs will take place at Riawena Oval on Saturday from 11am.
