Just before 3am on Sunday morning police officers were called to Peel Street after reports of a brawl.
As police arrived, an 18-year-old man assaulted another man.
A taser was deployed to assist police in their arrest of the teenager. He was taken to Walgett Police Station where he was charged with affray, and custody of knife in public place.
He was granted conditional bail to appear before Walgett Local Court on Tuesday, March 23.
