NSW Police confirmed on Tuesday night that two men died after a train collided with a truck in the Central West, about 40 kilometres south of Grenfell.

At about 5.15pm on Tuesday, February 23, emergency services were called to Eurabba Lane at Bribbaree after a crash between a freight train and a b-double truck on a rural rail crossing.
Officers from The Hume Police District attended and established a crime scene.
Two men who were the occupants of the truck died instantly, as of 11pm that night the men were yet to formally identified.

Police said as a result of the impact, the truck and surrounding grass area caught alight which was extinguished by the NSW Rural Fire Service.
The train line between Stockinbingal and Quandialla was expected to be closed until 7am on Wednesday, February 24.
Police said a report will be prepared for the coroner.
