While OCC is considering a new roundabout at the North Orange Shopping Centre on the northern distributor road, an equally urgent need exists at the intersection of Leeds Parade and Dalton Street where many north Orange locals will tell you is chaotic each week day at peak time in the morning and evening.
This intersection is much too small for the volume of traffic it services, in my opinion.
At these peak times, as well as other busy times of the day, traffic banks up, particularly in Leeds Parade (in both directions).
As north Orange continues to grow exponentially, this "much too small for purpose" roundabout has outgrown its practicality and needs to be replaced as soon as possible!
