Shane Neil Hennessey, 41, of Dimboola Way, was unrepresented when he appeared in court for the December driving offences and he said the police took his driver's licence off him straight away.
"I don't think I've been in trouble for a while but there's a bit of a history from back when I was a little fella," Hennessey said.
"I shouldn't have done it. I've already lost a fair bit of money not being able to get to work."
According to information supplied to the court, Hennessey was a patron at the Royal Hotel at Manildra on December 30 where he came to the attention of an employee and the publican.
While at the hotel he told people his name and where he was staying.
The hotel closed at 9.15pm and the publican saw Hennessey get into his Mitsubishi Triton and the employee and publican saw him drive out of the hotel car park onto Derowie Street where he revved the engine and did a burnout.
A nearby resident heard the loud screeching and saw smoke coming from the Mitsubishi Triton as it spun around several times before turning onto Kiewa Street.
The resident left their house and drove around town looking for the Triton before returning home.
However, the resident was woken up by more revving at 10.30pm and saw the same ute reverse out of the hotel car park and do another burnout on the road before almost hitting a truck.
The resident reported the offences to police who found Hennessey and the ute at 6.30pm the next day where they saw frayed rubber inside the wheel hubs.
Magistrate Robert Williams fined Hennessey $300 and disqualified his driver's licence for the first burnout on December 30, he also gave him an identical sentence for the repeated burn out.
Hennessey was also fined $450 for driving an unregistered motor vehicle and another $450 for driving an uninsured motor vehicle.
He was fined an additional $250 for not disclosing his details to police.
