Proceeds from the sale of donated items will be going to local men's health groups - including the Orange Prostate Cancer Support Group.
The local group which formed over two decades ago and today has over 50 members assists men and their families with emotional support after diagnosis, as well as advocating awareness around the prevalence of prostate cancer.
"With prostate cancer you've got ongoing treatments and you've got side effects which are really disruptive to men's lives in many cases," said the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia's national support groups executive Jim Lloyd.
"It's just nice for people to be able to get together in a social sense but also to talk to someone who's going through the same thing."
Around 20,000 new cases of prostate cancer are diagnosed each year in Australia. It is also the most commonly diagnosed cancer and it kills more Australians than breast cancer or melanoma.
For Orange's Biggest Garage Sale, the Rotary Club of Orange Daybreak is seeking old wares, collectibles, furniture, vintage clothing and accessories, among other items.
Residents seeking more information can call 0437 421 500 or email adrienne@myles.com.au.
