Lovisa will open one of its first stores in regional NSW in the Orange City Centre.
It will complete the filling of shop tenancies in the new part of the centre, on the site of the former Myer store.
Centre manager Nicole Chapman said it was expected the store would open in late March or early April.
A development application has been lodged with Orange City Council for the shop fitout which is stated to cost $70,000.
[We want to ensure] we are the leading piercing company in the world.
- Brett Blundy, Lovisa
The company's website says it opened its first shop in Queensland in 2010.
It said it now had about 435 stores in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, South Africa, Spain, France, the US and the United Kingdom and franchised stores in Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain and Vietnam.
Its other regional NSW stores include Wagga Wagga, Nowra and Dubbo.
It said the store's target market was 'fashion-conscious females' aged 25-45.
"Lovisa strives to be at the forefront of the fast fashion retail industry and pursuant to this mission, has developed a model that ensures trends are quickly identified," it said.
The company is understood to be looking for staff.
Advertisements for a store manager and a part-time team member are on online employment sites.
In the company's 2020 annual report non-executive chairman Brett Blundy said the COVID-19 pandemic had caused 'severe disruption' to the business but it would continue to look to expand operations and "ensuring we are the leading piercing company in the world."
