Normally, car enthusiasts from all over the state would gather in Orange to show off their pride and joy.
But with the club unable to predict back in October what the health restrictions would be now, they decided to replace the car show with a classic art show.
"Our president Denis Gregory came up with the idea of running an art show in lieu of," Gnoo Blas secretary Phil Noakes said.
"It's definitely different. We're using the cars that would normally be out there and said to the people if they want to give us an A3 photo or a painting or a drawing then we'll display it."
The display will be happening in the foyer of the Orange Civic Theatre from 10am until 3.30pm on the weekend of February 20 and 21.
"We've had quite a number of entries and we're up around 100 with a week to go," Mr Noakes said.
"We normally have 600 cars and we'd like 600 entries but I don't think we're going to get them.
"Those who have anything to do with it are looking forward to it being a success. We're hoping to get 200 or 300 entries."
All entries will be judged in the paint, draw and photograph mediums and in car show classes.
Prizes will be awarded in categories of: Best Holden, Best Ford, Best Sports Car, Best Ute, Best Truck, Best Motorcycle, Best Pre 1970, Best Post 2000, Best Modern, abstract and People's Choice.
"We'd like to see people still showing an interest in the old classics and that's what it's all about," the secretary added.
"It's been a bit difficult but at least we're doing something."
Entry on either day is a gold coin donation. Photographs can be colour or black and white. Entries should be mailed in suitable sized envelopes or canisters to PO box 2521, Orange, 2800.
