The art prize is open to any person living, working or attending school in the Cabonne Local Government Area.
All art must be original work, made solely by the artist with work commenced and completed within the last 12 months prior to February 19.
The winner of the major award, the Cabonne Acquisitive Art Prize, will receive $4,250.
A People's Choice winner will be awarded $1,000.
There are also awards for first, second and third prize in the Secondary and Primary School sections.
Entries close at 5pm February 19.
Works should be submitted between February 22 to February 26.
The exhibition will open on Saturday March 27.
The winning artwork will be acquired by Cabonne Council and will join Michael Carroll's winning 2020 painting Gordon's Garden in the Cabonne Council Art and Heritage Collection.
Artists wishing to enter the competition should visit the Cabonne Council website and click the link to the Cabonne Acquisitive Art Prize in the menu.
