Emergency services were called to the intersection of Cow Flat and Rockley roads at Rockley Mount at about 8am on Sunday following reports of a single vehicle crash.
"The vehicle failed to negotiation the intersection and left the roadway and travelled over an embankment, where it overturned and collided with a tree," Chifley Police District Inspector Adam Beard said.
The vehicle's three occupants, all 22-year-old males, where able to extract themselves from the vehicle without the assistance of emergency services personnel.
Inspector Beard said the rear passenger sustained a number of injuries, including to his jaw, but was "cleared of any significant, long-lasting injuries" when treated at Orange Base Hospital.
"Our investigation is ongoing so far as to the cause of the accident," Inspector Beard said.
