Two matches in one night proved a big test but they managed to come away with a win and a loss. They started with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Goal Diggers.
It was Goal Diggers who were just ahead at the main break 2-1 and neither side could break the deadlock in the third period.
Two unanswered goals in the final quarter handed Flounders the 3-2 win.
They had one game to recover before they were back in the water to take on Cobras.
Fresh legs made a difference for Cobras as they scored a goal in each quarter, including Sam Archer scoring in each of the last three periods, to record a 4-1 victory over Flounders.
Phar Laps went into the break on the back of a 8-6 victory over Team Platypus.
Phar Laps were up 8-3 going into the final period before Team Platypus powered home with three unanswered goals to threaten their rivals.
In the last match of the night, Jets were solid 9-1 winners over Squids, with Nikita Williams bagging six goals for the defending champs.
The Orange Water Polo season will take a break during the festive period and return in late January.
