Emergency services were called to the intersection of Edward Street and Bathurst Road just before 9am on Wednesday.
The pedestrian suffered a laceration to his head and was taken to hospital by paramedics as a result.
A spokesman for Orange police described the injury as "minor".
An investigation into the incident in continuing, but early indications are that the driver was not at fault for the crash, the police spokesman added.
