In a hopeful sign that Orange is returning to normal after the COVID-19 pandemic several regular events are set to return early next year.

Orange City Council has been recommended to provide sponsorship funding for six events from February to early April.
They include the Great Volcanic Mountain Challenge, which has been scheduled for March 28 after missing the past two years due to bushfires and COVID-19.
Council is set to provide $2500 funding for the event which would have 500 people.
The 2020 event was called off in March due to the coronavirus.
Initially it was hoped the event could be postponed until October but that was changed.
The Stars of Orange Dance for Cancer event is looking at a late-March date.
Council is looking at providing $2000 funding for the event which would would have up to 1000 attendees.
Funding has also been sought for two golf events.
The Wangarang Charity Golf Challenge is scheduled for February 12 with 200 attendees.
Having been previously supported by council in 2017, 2019 and 2020 it has been recommended $3000 be provided.
The City of Orange Veterans Week of Golf Tournament is set to take place from March 1-5.
With 220-250 attendees council would provide $500 in sponsorship funding.
This event has been running for 23 years with about 200 golfers entering.
Two new events are also seeking council funding.
A staff report said the Orange Daybreak Rotary Club was seeking $1500 for the Orange Biggest Garage Sale event on March 27.
"A new event for Orange, which captures an event space yet to be established in recycled items and clothing markets, Orange Biggest Garage Sale supports sustainability and with the funds raised going to a selected charity beneficiary," it said.
And the report said the Orange Chamber Music Festival was planned for April 9.
"A new event series for Orange, which captures an emerging music festival event space. The industry being hard hit by COVID 19, this is an opportune time to support such festivals and events."
Organisers are seeking $4200 from council which has been recommended.
Council will consider the requests on Tuesday night.
