Kevin John Morphett, 42, of Sussex Street, Singleton, was driving in Orange when he was stopped by police for random alcohol and drug testing.
Police stopped Morphett near the intersection with Lone Pine Avenue when he was driving along Bathurst Road about 9.10am on July 25.
He passed a test for alcohol but tested positive to methamphetamine.
Police arrested Morphett and took him to Orange Police Station for further testing and analysis, which confirmed the presence of methamphetamine and cannabis.
"I smoked some pot and ice a couple of days ago," Morphett said to police.
Although he was not present in court, Morphett was fined $330 and his driver's licence was disqualified for three months.
