And Orange prices are increasing at a more rapid rate than most of the state.
According to the latest Domain House Price Report the average median house in Orange is now $469,000. That has risen by $50,000 (11.9 per cent) in the past 12 months and a massive 35 per cent, up from $345,000, in the past five years.
The regional figures including Newcastle, Wollongong and fringe areas of Sydney place Orange as the 22nd most expensive housing market in NSW. Orange has recorded the eighth highest increase in the past year and the 18th highest in the past five years.
Quite often, they are selling within a week or so.

Orange's median house prices are now $19,000 higher than Bathurst and the Mid-Western Regional Council area (Mudgee).
According to RealEstateView there were just 11 houses for sale between $400,00 and $500,000 in Orange this week.
Those close to the $469,000 median price included a three-bedroom brick veneer in Pyala Place and a large five bedroom brick veneer property in Phillip Street.
Century 21 Combined Orange real estate director Andrew Vogler said he had just listed a three bedroom brick veneer home on Anson Street in the $420,000-$440,000 range.
Mr Vogler said the days of homes taking 50-80 days to sell in Orange were gone.
"Quite often, they are selling within a week or so," he said.
Mr Vogler said first home buyers needed to have their finances sorted before trying to buy.
"It's an education thing for them. If I find something I want to buy I need to be able to move straight away," he said.
