Stuart Crisp took 6-22 off eight overs to help Kinross to a 73-run victory over CYMS on the opening day of the Orange and District Cricket Association's second grade 2020-21 season.
James Glasson top scored for Kinross with 58 not out as they finished at 2-196.
CYMS topscorer was Matthew Baker with 44 runs out of their total of 126.
Josh Ward took 5-22 for Cavaliers in their win over Centrals Black.
Cavs passed the Centrals' score within 27 overs.
Matthew Burgess took 3-32 off eight overs for Centrals.
In the other game of the round Orange City beat Centrals Red.
Shaun Churchill hit the highest score in the grade with 72 not out, including 10 fours and two sixes, to help City to the win.
City finished with 5-169 off 35 overs in its pursuit of Centrals Red's score of 168.
Centrals topscorer was George Olsen with 40 and Lee Cornish took 4-23.
In third grade Gladstone were too strong for CYMS at Max Stewart Park hitting 2-105 after dismissing CYMS for 100. Matt Weller hit 54 while Gavin Smith took 5-28 for Gladstone.
Spring Hill beat Cavaliers in a match that featured a short but successful bowling effort from Cavs' Partheepan Balasingam.
He took 3-0 off one over. Jason Nayler took 3-26 off eight overs.
In the other game City scored 8-182 to beat Centrals 147.
Nathan Totten top scored with 30 not out for Centrals.
There were two games played at the Centenary Cup level.
CYMS were too strong for Kinross Blue.
CYMS hit 164 with Rowan McFarlane top scoring with 33.
Kinross managed only 45 runs before being dismissed in the 15th over.
Isaac Rodd did the damage for CYMS picking up 4-12 off five overs.
Teammate Charlie Miller was also effective claiming 3-8 off three overs.
Joshua Williams also took three wickets, for 11 runs.
Harry McDougall was the only Kinross player into double figures contributing 28 before he was out leg before wicket. In the other game City scored 5/130 to beat Kinross White's 8/129.
Daniel McHatton took 3-23 for City while Hayden Griffith scored the most runs in the grade, with 42 not out.
Next week's round two action sees second grade clashes between CYMS and Cavaliers, City and Kinross and the two Centrals teams.
