NSW recorded two locally-acquired COVID-19 cases on Friday, following on from five on Thursday, with other cases recorded in hotel quarantine.
Those transmissions were the first community spread of the coronavirus in nearly two weeks, and NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said late last week people across the state need to ensure they don't let their guard down.

"High alert is a state we have to be in during the pandemic because the virus is so contagious; it's so easy to have an outbreak, it's so easy for it to spread," she said on Friday.
"When you have a few days of no community transmission as we did ... people do get a bit complacent, and that's understandable, but we need to shock ourselves out of that complacency and accept and be reminded about how contagious the virus is."
Despite regional numbers staying low across Victoria, Orange mayor Reg Kidd said people still need to stay alert and cautious of the virus by practising social distancing even outside of major centres on the coast.
"The most important thing is to stay vigilant, washing hands and keeping social distance," he said.
"If you feel even a little bit off, get tested. There's no excuse, especially when they're free.
"Any complacency will put us back to where we were."
Testing is free from the drive-thru clinic at the new private hospital on Forest Road, with the Western NSW Local Health District urging anyone who has symptoms to get tested as soon as they develop.
Orange last recorded a positive COVID-19 test in July.
