Lifeline Central West and Fusion Central West have received $2000 each with a further $2250 to be donated to each group.
The extra amount was put out on public exhibition.
Councillors said at last Tuesday night's meeting both groups were doing invaluable work helping people through the coronavirus pandemic.
The other recipients are: Bowen Community Technology Centre ($2000), Orange Legacy Appeals Fund ($640.55), Catherine McAuley Catholic Primary School ($2000), Orange United Sports Club Orange United Warriors ($1716.90), Bloomfield Hospital ($1000) and Pinnacle Dragon Boats ($1200).
Meanwhile Orange High School, Orange Anglican Grammar School, Kinross Wolaroi School, Orange Christian School, OneSchool Global Orange Campus, Canobolas Rural Technology High School, Anson Street School and James Sheahan Catholic High School will receive $500 each) toward their annual Year 12 prize giving ceremonies.
