The crews conducted a "vertical rescue" at Mount Canobolas after an 18-year-old fell.
The teenager is being taken to Orange hospital with minor injuries and in a stable condition after being extracted just after 4.45pm.
An SES spokesperson confirmed the teenager had fallen about 150 metres away from the falls.
It's believed she was taken down the mountain and out through 4WD tracks.
The teenager is not believed to have fallen off the top of the waterfall, and while it's unclear exactly where she has fallen a NSW Ambulance spokespersons said she had "rolled 30 metres down an escarpment".
Three ambulance crews were in attendance, with her condition described as minor.
The NSW Ambulance media spokesperson said emergency services were called at about 1pm, with eight crews called in expectation of a several-hour extraction.
Federal Falls is a 90-minute to two hour walk from the carpark on Mount Canobolas.
