I agree with others, please don't build a sports centre on the former golf course out at Bloomfield. I concur with the suggestion that the park be used by families.

As Orange grows so does the need for this beautiful space to be protected from development.
It is great for all the people of the city and its visitors. Great for families for exercise, picnics, walking paths and other recreational activities.
I don't think it is actually vital to locate the sports centre next to the already utilised Brabam Park facilities, the additional sport centre can be located elsewhere where it is not destroying the long-term homes of birds, insects, kangaroos and other wildlife.
This open green space is a godsend to Orange that was not expected, so please don't destroy what it is now - a great outlook for the sick in the hospital, a place that has had years of tender-loving care by the golf course staff and members, it has even got a building that can be used as a local cafe which used to provide meals to the golf course members, hospital staff and especially the families in Orange visiting or staying in town to be near their sick relatives getting treated in our hospital.
We miss the Ex-services cafe immensely.
Think of us having this amazing space to protect and improve peoples mental health - think freedom to roam, think space, think air flow, think of duck watching on the pond, nature at its best so close to town.
