There would be a lot of people who left school without a formal, most had not heard the word.
To me it's another way for someone to make money and place stress on students that they fit into the night with their outfits.
Schools have caused at least five COVID-19 clusters in Sydney.
Now stop looking at the night as just me, look at the overall picture.
There are many families at the moment financially stressed and would have to say to their child no you cannot go we can't afford it; others would have to go without to enable their child to attend and socially fit in. what stress and anxiety on the parents.
Look at the preparation, suit hire, dress fittings, hairdresser, manicures shoe fittings all places not normally visited and mixing with a new group of people any who could carry the virus.
Then the gathering all in the hall excitement dancing heavy breathing after the exertion perfect conditions to spread the virus.
Just forget about you, a Social could start a cluster that could affect the whole community.
And in future years you will be able to think about how through your thoughtfulness made it safer for your community to get through a very difficult and dangerous time.
