A man will appear at court charged with multiple offences after allegedly discharging a firearm in the state's Central West.

About 12.45pm on Wednesday, detectives attached to Central West Police District attended a home on The Welcome Road, Parkes, after reports shots were fired on the property.
Officers executed a crime scene warrant at the property where they located and seized a bolt action rifle, ammunition and property alleged to be linked to recent break and enters in the area.
The 25-year-old man was arrested and taken to Parkes Police Station.
He was charged with using an unregistered firearm, firing a gun in a public place, break and entering a house, trespassing and several other gun-related offences.
The man was refused bail to appear at Orange Local Court on Thursday.
