A MAN allegedly involved in a police pursuit and subsequent car crash before he ran away from officers will face Orange Local Court on Thursday.

At 9.35pm on Wednesday, officers from the Central West Highway Patrol were travelling along the Parkes-Eugowra Road when they detected a vehicle travelling in excess of the posted speed limit.
"Police turned and attempted to stop the vehicle which continued driving," officers said.
"A pursuit commenced and a short time later ended when the car lost control and crashed.
"The driver, a 29-year-old male from Orange, got out of the car and ran before being arrested."
Police have alleged that when searching they car they located a large amount of cash and the drug 'ice'.
"The motorist was later charged at Parkes Police Station with police pursuit and supply a prohibited drug.
"Enquires are continuing into the legitimacy of the cash," officers said.
The driver was refused bail.
