The day care opened this time last year, and the plan to celebrate a year in a business that's surprised even Ms Haase has been hit coronavirus restrictions.
However, the Diesel and Blue staff are still throwing a socially distant party on Saturday night anyway.
They'll be live-streaming an awards night, with 35 families and houses signed in to tune in, with staff gathering together to hand out 30 awards to the biggest, smallest, friendliest, energiser bunny, best taxi dog and more.
"We really wanted to have a big event but to use the word of the year we've had to pivot and do something different. It was hard to go down to three days during COVID but since we've gone back it's been gangbusters," Ms Haase said.
