The Blind Pig will host an amateur drag night and raise money for Beyond Blue

The Blind Pig Bar owner John Vandenberg said the 'Go Ham or Go Home' night is the first drag night of the year and will be donating proceeds towards Beyond Blue.

"When COVID hit, we had to shut everything down and we had plans to have drag nights in the lead up to the Rainbow City Festival in May," he said.

"There will be a limited amount of seating due to social distancing restrictions and we're encouraging people to book a spot on our website so they don't miss out.

"We will be fundraising for Beyond Blue and we want to do what can to help the non-for-profit organisation as every little bit adds up."

2019 runner up in the Australia's Got Drag comeptition, Miss Betty Confetti will host the night.

She said it will be a good night to support not only the general community but also people who identify as LGBTI+.

"I'm expecting it to be a camp ole time and a good night to take your mind off things that are going on right now," she said.

"I'm excited to see all the performers, in particular drag kings because I think drag queens have been in the spotlight so it'll be good to give them a go.

"We're promoting a fun and inclusion as an underlying aspect for the night." Miss Betty Confetti will host the 2021 Australia's Got Drag competition in Bathurst.
