They might be without skipper Kurt Beahan for Saturday's home-opening blockbuster against the Oberon Tigers, but that doesn't mean the Orange United Warriors aren't backing themselves to produce a round four boilover.
The men in teal are coming off a disappointing 20-4 loss to the CSU Mungoes and will now step up in grade when they take on the undefeated Tigers in the fourth of a five-game slate at Wade Park on August 8.
And while their desire to keep winning games is high, United forward Kane Smith was quick to point out some other core values the side has in 2020, suggesting they're just as much about family as they are about winning.
"We're a community side and we want to give back to the community... if we can win then that's a bonus," Smith said.
"There's people in town jumping out of their skin to come and watch us, in particular the local Aboriginal community."
And it's important to Smith that the side embraces the importance of Saturday's game from a cultural perspective and doesn't rest the success of the day on a win.
"The side's under a bit of pressure and I just want everyone to go back to being a group and having a laugh together," he said.
Smith knows that when the side can relax and play freely, it can compete with absolutely any outfit in the competition, including Oberon.
"When we reach our full potential, there's not a side that that's going to come close to us," he said.
Beahan hasn't announced the side for the round four tilt with Oberon but it's likely that there'll be several key positional changes as the Warriors work towards their best combinations at one, six, seven and nine.
The five-game card at Wade Park on Saturday kicks off with a league tag clash between Warriors and Oberon at 12.15pm, before Bears and Barbs do battle in the same competition at 1.25pm.
The men's matches will take place at 2.45pm and 4.15pm with Warriors-Tigers coming first, followed by Barbarians-Bears. Closing things out will be the Presidents Cup clash between Western Rams and Thirroul Butchers at 6.15pm.
