The sky blue side racked up a dominant 6-1 win over Barnstoneworth FC on Saturday at Waratahs Sportsground as they kept their distance from a young CYMS side just behind them.
The green and golds recorded a strong 3-1 win over Millthorpe Tigers at Jack Brabham Park on Saturday, continuing their unbeaten start to the year - with three wins and a draw on their scoresheet.
CYMS led 1-nil at half time in a hotly-contested clash in torrid conditions, but had two goals on the board 15 minutes into the second stanza before the Tigers scored a consolation goal with not long left on the clock.
Strikers Will Bennett and James Hamilton combined well up the front, while Aiden Casey was brilliant in his first game back after copping a boot to the mouth a fortnight ago.
