On Friday, Member for Orange Phil Donato met with several croquet club members to announce the successful application for funding through the 2019 Community Building Partnership Program.
The croquet club was granted $4664 for the purchase and installation of two patio blinds for weather protection.
Phil Donato said he is pleased to see the club benefiting from these funds.
There are currently 56 members in the Orange City Croquet Club.
However, due to COVID-19 the members have had to make changes to how the operate.
For the health and safety of players the club introduced and is following a COVID-safe plan.
The plan included limiting the number of people playing at any one time.
People who intent to play or attend are also now required to book in prior to a game.
However, more recently, the Orange City Croquet Club has increased its playing days from three days a week to four days a week.
