Police were patrolling the Glenroi area due to a high crime rate at 5.50pm on March 28 when they saw Jaunita Louise Cullen, 37, of Park Street, walking with a man who was known to police.
According to police, she was holding a number of items and upon seeing the police she appeared to turn her body away.
Cullen was searched and among the items she was holding was a tobacco pouch that contained tobacco and 1.96 grams of cannabis.
Cullen said she "found it on the wall in front of my home, the boys left it there".
Magistrate David Day fined her $110 on Monday and noted that she had been fined larger amounts in the past for more serious matters.
