Council's funds will join commitments of $50,000 each from Blayney and Cabonne councils to the $200,000 campaign.
At Tuesday night's meeting councillors voted unanimously to support the funding for the campaign which is aimed at cashed-up over 55s who would otherwise being travelling overseas.
Council has also agreed to identify where council is using single-use plastics at its events and in its operations.
Cr Stephen Nugent told council the ultimate aim would be to eliminate single-use plastics, such as plates, cups and balloons, from council use.
Meanwhile council has also backed a plan to form a strategic alliance with Cabonne and Blayney councils to share resources.
Mayor, Cr Reg Kidd, said one of the first projects would be working together on funding for Mount Canobolas' maintenance.
Council also agreed to introduce the use of LED lights throughout its buildings to cut power bills.
