The James Sheahan Catholic College student will lead out Hawks in round two of the newly formed Maas Group Western Youth League premiership on Wednesday night.
The two blues will take on Orange CYMS, a side stacked with Carpenter's schoolmates and one, many believe, is the side to beat in this year's youth league title race.
Walking into school on Thursday with a big win and bragging rights in his back pocket is the goal for the young two blues rake.
"There's been a fair bit of banter with a few of the boys," Carpenter smiled.
"I know most of the CYMS team, they all go to school with me. We're keen to get tough, and I'll have to get involved early."
Confirmation CYMS is the real-deal in 2020, the green and golds kicked off its campaign with a commanding 36-16 victory over Panthers at Norton Park on Sunday, while Hawks hit the road and ground out a 20-14 win over Workies in Lithgow.

Carpenter's co-captain, Mitch Watts said Hawks' pack stood tall against a tough Workies side in that round one victory, and a similar effort will give the two blues confidence heading into the mid-week grudge match.
Watts says the two blues are gunning for a finals place and can put one foot in the play-off picture with a win over CYMS.
"In every age it's always good to beat the other local team. It's going to be a tough battle," Watts said.
"Our pack will need to stand up, they need to have a big game. If they can grind it out we'll be right."
Going toe-to-toe with CYMS' pack will be one thing, then limited the impact the side's electric backline will have is a completely different beast.
Often the spark, fullback Addison Williams had designs on earning a premier league debut in Daniel Mortimer's CYMS side pre-COVID-19.
A giant in stature and equally impressive in space, while the star fullback is thrilled to be out on the field he's also fiercely determined to make his chance this season count.
He said CYMS is gunning to be the best side in the west.
"We've had a while off, it's good to be back out there," Williams said.
"The unknown has been hard, I didn't think we'd play at all this year but now we're out there we're confident. We've got a pretty good team. I think all the boys are ready for it."
Williams said a Wednesday night fixture under lights was the ideal way to mark the first derby of the season.
"It'll be good at Wade Park, it's always good in a derby," he added. "Hopefully the restrictions aren't too bad and we can have a bit of a crowd."
The Hawks and CYMS derby is set to kick-off at 6.30pm on Wednesday night. Current COVID-19 restrictions will be enforced at the ground.
