A rescue helicopter was deployed to the Mitchell Highway following a crash between a truck and a car on Thursday morning.

Emergency services received a triple-0 call at 7.45am following reports of the crash on the highway between Molong and Wellington, just north of Eurimbla Road.
Mitchell Highway was closed in both directions to allow the helicopter to land, Live Traffic says, but as of 3pm on Thursday afternoon the highway is again open.

Diversions were in place for a short time, with southbound motorists using Burrendong Way, while northbound motorists diverting to Banjo Patterson Way, Renshaw McGirr Way and Showground Road.
These diversions are suitable for all vehicles.
At this stage Australian Community Media has no information on injuries that have occurred.
