On Thursday night, when most people in Orange are bedding down under several layers of doonas, PJL CEO Ben Farrands will be lying down in a seven-tonne steel industrial "bucket".

Mr Farrands will be taking part in the Vinnies CEO sleepout, and while temperatures will plummet - as they tend to at this time of year - he said he has it lucky.
"The reality is that it is going to be three degrees, two degrees in Orange but I only have to do this once, I get to go home the next day in a warm bed with my family, there are others who do this every night," he said.
Mr Farrands is raising awareness and money for the St Vincent de Paul society, with a staff breakfast on Friday helping raise funds.
"What surprises me in this day and age, especially in Australia which is a rich economy with a lot of well-off people we still unfortunately have homelessness," he said.
"Not for the typical reasons we expect, because you lose a job or money but because of relationship breakdowns or mental health issues.
"I just wanted to raise awareness that even in this area, in the centre of God's country, we still have homelessness here."
He said it could potentially become an annual event for PJL, with the buckets providing a good link to the company - even if they were categorically freezing and uncomfortable.
"If I can do this once to raise awareness and money to help, it's not very much to give I don't think," he said.
