The mercury barely crept over 3 degrees Celcius for much of the day, and the low cloud coupled with the burst of cold air moving north across the state meant the feels-like temperature was below zero all day.
The long-term day-time temperature for June in Orange is 10.5 degrees. Orange's top temperature maxed out at 3.4 degrees by 11am on Tuesday morning.
That same weather front brought snow to places like Oberon, Armidale and Uralla, but next to now falls were recorded at places like Pinnacle or Mount Canobolas.
Instead, the city again enjoyed more follow-up rain, with the Bureau of Meteorology recording 7.6mm of rain at the airport overnight on Monday.
Orange is forecast to be cloudy again on Wednesday, before clear days ahead of the long weekend.
