AS we canvassed various businesses over the past few days to see which ones would open for diners after June 1, it wasn't surprising to hear the mixed responses we received.

Some restaurants couldn't wait to open their doors and felt they had the capacity to meet the legislated spacing restrictions.
Others still while keen to return to normal, decided opening wasn't really physically or financially viable with many coming to the conclusion that their venues were simply too small to adhere to the distancing rules.
Only time will tell how much impact this easing of the restrictions will really have on our lives but there's no denying it's a step in the right direction.
No matter what our eateries decide to do next week it's vital we support them, whether it's by buying a drink, take-away or a sit-down meal.
In 12 months time if our reputation as a food and wine destination is to remain in tact we all need to put our money where our mouths are.
